Bought more Dell at 38 1/16....Dell is down for the 6th day in a row...that string will not continue much longer......Dell (& Naz) over-sold here...we (Dell) will get some sort of rally over next two weeks into earnings...I will get out somewhere around 42/43 couple days before (10-15% in a couple weeks)..maintaining long-term Dell....want to make a bit of money in meantime...

I figure, even if the market is nappy over the next 2 weeks, Dell will at least rally back to my purchase price....

That's my plan and I'm stickin' to it...<G> Nice timing this morning, Donnie...I choked and didnt buy CMTN at 85....that would have been nice...

IMO, AOL may be risky now....the perception about the stock has changed and MSFT seems to be ready to target the ISP access market -- they are a ruthless competitor (that has some natural advantages over AOL). Look at the volume on AOL and its trend has been discouraging this week....I warned relatives and got them out.....AOL still has a price with A LOT of assumptions about the future built into it. I don't like the richly valued net stocks right now and AOL has some serious competitive challenges on all fronts.

*I am not long or short AOL but I feel it may be a rough ride for investors going forward. Even DELL is going after the consumer ISP access market -- and I sure wouldn't underestimate DELL. IMO, the big AOL shareholders (like Janus and Fidelity) have lightened up significantly in the last few weeks. We'll know soon enough. It was a blessing that I got out of AOL at just over $160 (at a very nice profit).

*DELL is a great stock to hold in this turbulent market....the fundamentals are outstanding and DELL continues to address their competitive threats in a very compelling way.

Best Regards,

Scott
