Steve Case declined comment?

The story I heard today was that before the wall street journal article came out the WS Journal asked aol for comment. Aol allegedly declined and Steve Case and and others bailed (to the tune of 9%) knowing that aol stock would dive. If this is true it says a lot about the character of aol management!
