>>Aren't they?<<

The million dollar question. I know there's many out there such as myself that can't get the $24 refunded after a miserable experience on my CPQ that's a little over a year old. I'm sure they include myself and the many with similar experiences in their active user counts.

Once the technology works well on any PC, I question if a large Telecom couldn't almost instantly create a larger userbase through existing customers. As I said, I suspect NTOP will have to move fast. They need to identify the problems with PC based calls on many newer boxes and take the necessary steps to correct it. In my case, as an article posted here suggested, a headset didn't make any difference. I don't know where the problem lies. I have seem many user testimonials to the same effect, even folks with brand new dell boxes and cable connections.

Time is of the essence, but I just don't see NTOP with much value at this point in time, and feel the future is 50-50 at best.
