Try Albert County New Brunswick. As I recall from my days as a kid in that area they produced small amounts of oil from oil shale deposits located close to Fundy National Park. I seem to recall, 20 or 25 years ago, that Occidental Petroleum had some interest in that area. I remember there was always speculation about oil potential in the region. Amazing what sticks in ones memory.
