Murrey, No. Have never read The Fountainhead [or many other books since schooldays - or many then either come to think of it] and had never heard of Ayn Rand until 4 years ago. Did read Atlas Shrugged [most of it] back then. But like most people, I read stuff which fits the way I'm thinking rather than the other way round.

What's annoying is it's hard to know which comes first, the thinking or the input. A bit chicken and egg and the two are inseparable. A bit like the collective and the individual.

Since I've heard of Ayn Rand, it's funny [to me] how her name is used a bit like the label 'racist'. You know, "Oh, he's a Catholic". "Ayn Rand you know". "He's a racist". Or, in more extreme and ominous cases, "He's a Jew". But then, I do that too. "He's a Wall Streeter you know - can't 'get' the technical stuff". Neural nets and rule of thumb to save thinking time.

Anyway, enough ranting for the day, hope you liked it - I bet the Ayn Rand club wouldn't. Except that that club has fragmented into competing factions, so maybe I fit one of the parts [unless we look too closely].
