MNI, you make an interesting point "Maybe those Europeans really don't have an idea how arrogant they actually do sound to an American listener." I suppose there can be a lot of misunderstanding because of language barriers and social customs. I am trying to be open-minded reading GJ's comments. But you have to admit, this guy is making himself a target. It doesn't bother me personally. If I was that thin-skinned, I wouldn't post here at all. But I think it would be to GJ's advantage to keep a lot of his opinions limited to the anonymity of the Internet.
