Thought I'd chime in from the road ... a few months ago I started tracking a shadow equity curve that had me exiting my real trades every time I got that "hmmm, something is not right in this trade" feeling and jotted it down in my log, instead of hanging on until stops are hit. Its mildly interesting that my equity curve would have shifted up if I exited those trades ... but what is really interesting is the fact that, looking back, I have very little recollection of those "failed" trades. I can, however, vividly recall the successful trades.

Of course, it depends on how you define successful ... I guess they are all successful if the plan is followed to the letter.
