Larry,
As this article says there is some chance of rate hike before
August 24th. It is surprising how the market reacted at the open
after inflation was reaffirmed with the jobs data.

Do you think it is a reasonable strategy to buy puts on QQQ
in anticipation of a surprise fed hike next week?. I am also
hedging against my long position (still 50%, the other 50% is
in cash).

By the way, I am surprised the MSFT August 85 put costs me 2.25.
So expensive considering MSFT has to get to 82.75 by next
two weeks for me to breakeven
