M. I don't know about too costly. He is worth almost 100 bill. and is planning on only giving 20 mill to his kids when he leaves this earth. I think I have that fig. right. The rest is supposed to go to charity. Maybe he looks at this as charity. gg.

I like your sale theory. But when all my stocks tanked big time I was just happy not to get a margin call.

Good evening Marvin:

I believe that there was talk at onetime of AOL supplying computers to their customers without including Microsoft Windows operating system and using a competing system such as Linux (sp). This computer system would include all the basic software programs including word processor, spreadsheet and access to the Internet. If AOL were to proceed in this manner, this would most certainly place a thorn (a small one at that) in the side of Microsoft demonstrating that Microsoft is not a 100 percent essential component of every computer system.

Based upon the market activity towards the very end, it appears that there should be a rebound. I will preface this statement by indicating that I have not made myself familiar with the news conference/announcement by AOL that was supposed or taken place at 7 p.m..

Have a good evening,

David

I just couldn't resist the damaged goods price on AOL today; but, alas, no cash. Solution: sold some MSFT to buy more AOL. I have no more accurate guess at where the bottom is/was than the next person, but I'm not a short term trader and not in a hurry. The glum, paranoiac, bearish, fatalistic, apocalyptic, death-spiral mood about all things AOL is so intense that either we are close to a bottom or Bruce Willis isn't gonna blow up that asteriod after all!
