>>>but that I have an adversion to NYC! I grew up across da river in Jersey and I left that place never to return.

I hear ya buddy....I've been just a digging dirt for the last week and Mama's been cutting down the trees and brush in my way for the Y2K Pool....the kids have been hauling wood and building a nice warm fire for us all each night to sit around(Pyros). I figure we could do that forever...and never run out of wood. Got us talking about building a new access road this fall just to catch some more deadfall, Pool has to have a class A fire pit.

We did hot dogs tonight on the fire for supper..and I started spewing out German after my 9 year old daughter asked...'Dad what was that French word you said that made everybody laugh when we were up North?'...to them it was a new experience to comprehend that folks talk different...I spoke it like I learned from my Grandpa....told them about him for the first time, how funny and life loving that man was...the Shit he came up with....Laugh! Oh! Laugh! Oh did I have them, he had them....just like Ole Bucko was right there with us after these 21 years he's been gone. A Mans Man in my eye.

Caused me to look into the Sky and reflect...drownd them right out if you hear me.....see all dem Stars and such, put me in a wonderment it did.....as they laughed on. Then suddenly, I said, "shhhh....shhhhh....quite....listen, what's that?" It got quite and we all listened....it was a Car in the Distance.

I'm not a lover of the Big Cities either....But Grandpas are Ok!

If you all still got one...spend some time with them...mine are all gone.

Bob, Having grown up in Joisey I thought you'd go back to NYC just to see what the city looks like in the Giulliani era without race riots or power outages or crime ... uh .. oh, wait ... never mind.

KD

I grew up in Joisey too, Morristown to be exact.
