I just can't resist this. Carlin gold shows up with " normal, standard fire assay"!!! There are also many locations in the Carlin trend where visible gold is present. think of the original gold discovery at Carlin as a large halo to a gigantic system. Maybe cinder cones are similar but this has not been proved to date and my money says it will not.
