I am *SO* glad that our browser history files are back to where they were before. Now, I believe I can navigate the new site with the same ease and alacrity as the old.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Bryan, I am sorry, I never did get back to you with 1) thanks for your promise to restore the Clubhouses (Yay!), or 2) reaction to your "Tip of the Day" idea (just like the "Tip of the Day" that pops up on Microsoft Word when you open it up): I like it!

And, in general, I appreciate your responsiveness to the concerns that have been raised here. I have had a very different experience recently with two other investment sites I subscribe to: Morningstar and Wall Street City, both of which have redesigned their sites without soliciting any customer input at all.

I kept my portfolio on Morningstar. I liked their set-up -- you could view your portfolio four different ways, with four different sets of data. The redesign makes viewing faster -- but the specific data I want are no longer there! I don't give a hoot, for example, about intra-day highs (a new feature); I'm not a day-trader! I want to know the percentage increase/decrease in my portfolio at the end of the day -- and they no longer tell me! When I e-mailed them, asking why they never had a beta test, they responded that they had run a "focus group." A focus group??

As for Telescan, forget it. They spent ages redesigning the site, with the result that I can no longer use the one feature I was really paying through the teeth for -- their ProSearch. The Java won't load! Boo! And user input? Hah! Some day, I predict, that company will go under. Not because they do not have a great deal to offer. But because they have absolutely no notion of what customer service is all about.

So, I am glad that you listen to customer complaints, as painful as it may be to hear them, at times. And please, keep on listening. In this connection, I'd like to cite a recent post of mine, in case you missed it.

Message 10882466

My post mentioned, among other things, the poll that Cheeky Kid set up. It prompted a charge that the ballot box was stuffed.

Message 10882512

Now, that post, in turn, prompted four responses (the last two from Cheeky):

Message 10882565
Message 10882619
Message 10882734
Message 10882821

I do hope that you do not share David's suspicions about the poll, Bryan. I think it would be a big mistake to dismiss it as the handiwork of a bunch of troublemaking crooks, rather than as what it is -- a fair sampling of the views of SI members on the direction in which SI should be going.
