Statistical data are misleading. A worldwide study of every athlete in every professional sport would have to be done to determine the truth of the matter. And, if the evidence did tend to support the hypothesis of an astrological link, then the natural place to look would be Earth's cycling magnetic fields. As I mentioned in a previous posting, is there is any correlation at all it would be that the stars and planets happen to be in a particular position during a certain cycle of the wave motion in the natural magnetic fields of the Earth. This could lead to a new science, or at least the broadening of several sciences, among them biology and psychology.

I am not opposed to such studies, but just believing in something without knowing the "whys" behind its workings do not add to knowledge. On the contrary, it clouds the issue or occults real knowledge.
