Hello All, Been gone a little over a month, and come back to this roller coaster ride. Still long but not quite as strong (price only, not holding desire) with GNET. I have been going over the last few (hundred) posts here and on my other holdings threads. None of the others are quite this up and down though (but they are mostly down from 30+ days ago). Still looking to the future and as always, it's great to see the articles that are referenced here about GNET and why we are holding onto this gem, even in the toughest times. It's great to have other distractions to keep you from going too crazy in this market. Like the Blue Angels screaming over my office building in preparation for SeaFair (Seattle). Back to GNET. I had not heard of Dogpile (we used to call it Pigpile when I was young<er>). 55Mil, that would have bought a lot of advertising to help in the name recognition for our GNET. But I am not the one sitting in Russell's or John's (sorry guys, don't mean to sound disrespectful or too familiar) seats, so I trust them to make the right decision. It was them and their crew's hard work that got Paul Allen interested in GNET in the first place, and just think where it is that we are headed in the not too distant future. And I don't mean JUST the Hawaii trip (wish I could be there...)! IMO the boys at CNBC do not care enough to get the names (Go2net, GOTO, & Go) right, as they (except Ted) have continually bad mouthed the internet sector. Until they have full time competition (nationally) in the market place, CNBC does not seem to have to worry about being 100% correct. So keep up the emails Sarkie et all. As for the name confusion, how about increased advertising?... and now for the boo's and hisses... on say CNBC or CNNFN for the new SI. And on MTV, Nickelodeon, and/or Cartoon Network for the PlaySite? I have not seen a lot of the advertising around from their present campaign. I have heard about print ads (shark) in the national papers, but have not seen one. How about radio ads? The Go2net name can fly further with a more intense advertising blitz. I have heard radio ads for Mercata, so how about tie ins, at least locally on KIRO (Seattle) which directs the people to access Mercata through Go2net. IMO a Go2net saturation advertising campaign will help more than changing the name. Look at the likes of Amazon.com, Excite, Yahoo - All saturated tv with advertising. Yes Amazon is still losing a lot of money, But others are not. So, how about it Russ? Any tv ads in the near future? To all GNET longs, enjoy your August! And remember September and new highs are not all that long from now. C-ya, Joe #39.
