Had Yousef Squaali of Thalmann Landenburg discussing the Internet and specifically the MSFT rumours this morning. Basically said he didn't think the free model would be undertaken by MSFT as it wouldn't be, in his opinion, a particularly advantageous approach or model for MSFT in terms of increasing shareholder value though in terms of having the bucks (cash) they could do whatever they wanted he supposed (he mentioned that if they went to this approach it would then be highly difficult if not impossible to later want to come back and charge for ISP so again it is very unlikely). He also said in conversations with ELNK and I think FLAS that numbers were good for July and he (Squaali) expected the same for August and September as well. He was then asked for picks and, as you'd expect, he selected ELNK (as he thinks they're doing better and better) and also AOL.

Addi - today's "partnership" between aol and elnk/mspg re: IM-ing is another reminder of just how important this sector is and how heated the battle will become.

They have only begun to fight.
