He's right. This makes perfect sense to me. If this were to come to fruition, then gold's days as a reserve may be numbered. But as it stands now, with "rates moving so widely without a reasonable relationship to economic fundamentals" I do not see that happening.
There is just too much opportunity for economic chaos, as things stand now.
