...these "general news" updates have no business wasting airtime on CNBC. I hate to argue with you on this, Gary, but I can't agree. General news has a place in the market news, if for nothing else than to signal a need to switch to a news only channel. The problem isn't that general news is reported, the problem, IMO, is that what CNBC does report is either of "People Magazine quality" or so slanted to the Northeast mentality as to be insulting to the rest of the country. And, since I'm arguing with you, quit picking on Kathleen! :-) jim
