No argument here. If Athlon is late, and AMD has to bail, Motorola looks like a good match, IBM might be OK, but Intel! Unless they buy it to kill it.

Actually, Siemans or another German company (Daimler-Chrysler?) might be even more likely. I get the impression from some of the review translations, that they are pretty excited over there about the possibility of having local semiconductor technology that's a high visibility, world class competitor. And the Airbus thing has been working out real well lately... Remember when Boeing looked invincible?
