S3 is riding a bit of up and down wave with the rest of the semis.
I'm hopeful that we'll see a breakout before too much longer to the
previous highs in the 15-17+ area, set back in Sept of '97, or maybe
even the 20-22.5 highs, in Oct of '96. However there are many black
clouds on the horizon with interest rate fears and the prevailing
market sentiment, vis-a-vis the economy of the rest of the world.

I'm pretty interested in the flash memory drive you ref'd in
your previous post. I checked the price of the 96 Mb card at
about $225 and the drive at about $55. I'm assuming that it
handles both Type I and II cards, did your docs say? And do you
know does it handle the new 300+ Mb cards with the tiny IBM hard
drive on board? Did you measure anything other than gross transfer
rate? , i.e. latency for the data and access rates.

Thanks, in advance!

Larry
