Samsung is completing the expansion of Line 9 at Kiheung, which will begin production later this year of 256-Mbit SDRAMs and Direct Rambus DRAMs.

hi ian,
i have a tendency to try to dissect news. i clipped the sentence above from the article. i think you will agree, looking at that one sentence, it sure sounds like 256 mbit rdrams are coming this year.
my mainpoint was that the 256's are wanted for servers and if i read the article right they are on the way.
next stop, later next year, 512's. that will make rambus in low-end cheaper than sdram. :o)
