RE: Gilder I am reading a great book, right now, "The Plot to get Bill Gates", which goes over Sun and the development of Java. The author Credits Gilder with putting Java on the map. Gilder wrote an article for the WSJ that touted Java as the replacement for Windows, and caused the takeoff of Java. Don't let the title of this book put you off. It is the best read I have found on the history of the computer revolution. I am reading the section on Ellison and Oracle right now and it is priceless!
