I agree with you that this will be new equity, probably coming out of the 500M$ that was registered a couple weeks ago, and dilutive to other GLP partners, including GSTRF.

However, my guess is that Loral hasn't and won't exercise these warrants yet; when it does G* will get more cash and Loral will (presumably) get a great deal on shares that will have appreciated greatly by then.

As for LP vs corp, I think it's for tax reasons, but VMan will know best.

partnership income is reported on the partner's tax return. income of a corporation doesn't flow through and can't be reported on Loral books unless it owns 80%.
