From Thomson I-watch:

BR -- Ind. Oil & Gas -- Basic Materials
06-Aug-99 11:28:34 Burlington Resources is outperforming the oil
sector today, trading $7/16 higher at $45 7/16. The stock is
attempting to break-through the previous resistance it has
encountered near $46. The firm's I-Watch chart, however, shows that
bidding interest, which was strong during the first hour of trading,
has waned a bit as the session has worn on. This is consistent with
the timing of the block trades - all but 10K of the 260,000 shares
crossed between 9:58 & 10:34. As expected, the timing behind the
post-trade data on I-Watch shows a significant decline in reporting
volume over the past hour. As the institutional buyers have moved to
the sidelines (or more appropriately, headed for the beach), BR's
stock price has drifted lower.

Re: calls

Basis cost free. My basic strategy with both stocks and options on upside moves is to get my cost basis to zero and let it run.

Wishing I had followed my strategy a little better with NE and CAM which i sold all of. Oh well, there will still be opportunities.
