Thanks for the clarification, Larry. I clearly misunderstood your earlier post. These precipitous price declines only cause permanent losses to those who sell at the bottom (or shorts who cover at the top). The summer slump has been quite a ride, and it's taken strong hands to hang on, but for those of us in quality stocks, there has been no reason to revise our strategies.

As I have posted earlier on this thread, I'm concerned about some basic changes to aol's fundamentals. And the valuation impact has been amplified by an apparent sector rotation away from the Internets. I don't think this is a permanent state, but I doubt is going to reverse in the near term. It's scary, but it could be a great buying opportunity for those with a good understanding of the sector.
