Jock,

If LSI reaches $160/shr in 12 months I will be more than happy to throw a party at my mansion in San Diego by the beach and invite all my LSI friends for the past 4 years on this thread. However in order to have the party LSI needs to reach $160/shr first at which time I can buy my dream mansion in San Diego (where the party will be held).

Regards,

Wow, that was quite an expose. As a new lsi investor, and one of the common people (read, limited tech knowledge), that sure did bring up a whole plethora of additional issues to learn about and consider. Sure will be a help in my continuing DD.

Target of 160 in the next 12 months? Why, that is well above Addi's (revised) selling point of 100!

So, you've done it! Now Addi will NEVER be able to sell! <G> And five years from now, he will be looking at a stock price of 44 or so, and lamenting that he has made 5% year-over-year with this investment (a $27 investment growing to $44 in 10 years). <G>

Jock, just as a point of clarification...

"12. Given the reluctance .... The growth potential of CDMA is widely acknowledged and reflected in the P/E multiple of over 100 that is afforded QCOM."

QCOM has trailing 12 month earnings on the order of $1.75 (excluding recent charges for the sale of their infrastructure division and reorganization), so it's conceivable that on a TTM basis you could postulate a PE close to 100 (despite what Yahoo! might show...). But, if you look at this FY (ending in September) you're looking at the better part of $2.50 (subject to upward revision), and next year's earnings could be anywhere from $3.25 to ???? (my guess is closer to $4/share). This puts the current PE based on future earnings at no more than the mid 40's, which is extremely undervalued IMHO (based on the growth rate).
