MGJ: Re: "The nets are melting down."

Yes, and one must regard the nets as an immediate reading on market sentiment IMO. The intraday turnaround was impressive and that kind of turnaround has marked the bottom of correction(s) this year. I am not saying they are going to surge to new highs. But one must take of the immediate turn in interest in these stocks even if they were down today.

Re: " The NASDAQ has corrected by definition although there may be more downside."

So has the S & P. It is down 8.4% with Nasdaq down 11.5%. But the market held strong today considering the long bond spiked big time and we got poor economic data.

Re: " Third quarter profits will be impressive compared to one year ago."

Yes and one should take note that we will lose those favorable comparisons next year.
