Tom Ardnij,

<< Imagine Europe on CDMA satellite phones >>

Technically or practically (from a cost and coverage point of view), I think we will have to continue to use our imagination. I could be wrong. I would love to be disproved of this as an investor in GSTF & QCOM.

I think in Europe they will be a Globalstar/GSM phone manufactured by (I think) a subsidiary of ERICY (can't recall the name but in Italy I think) under license to "Q". Qualcomm will manufacture the GlobalStar/CDMA/Amps phone. There was background on this on the GlobalStar site very recently, but it has either been pulled or as a very obscure link, or I'm blind. Whoops, I'm not blind, just checked, link was pulled and updated sometime today and it's less background and more consumer oriented. More to come. Site evolving quickly:

globalstar.com

<< This is a significant inroad into the GSM marketplace >>

It ABSOLUTELY is regardless.

Somebody is going to to build a GSM/CDMA phone despite what Tero says. Won't be "Q" initially, IMO, however.
