Brooke, I take it as a compliment, that you think I know where CSCO is headed now and after the earnings Tuesday. I never use the word "sure" about anything in the market but I do know that CSCO is as close to sure as one can get. If you've followed this stock carefully you can see that it moves in spurts, then bases, then moves, then bases again. Right now it is kinda' holding steady, despite a very turbulent tech sector and is about 10% off it's recent high. August, in general, is not a great month for tech stocks to surge upward, and this Fed interest rate excuse is not a help either. I think the stock is "golden" long term(next 5 years),so jumping in anytime now or next week or next month does not matter. Thanks again for the compliment, but kinda' puts some pressure on my analysis! LOL

Howie

P.S.- There are very few CSCO shareholders that have not made nice profits owning this stock! It is one of the top core holdings stocks of the 90's, if not all time!

I'm changing my tune, going out on a limb and mixing metaphors: After looking at the chart for CSCO today, I say the stock is going up from here. Tar and feather me if I'm wrong. Bar and tether me, too. I'm seeing some signs of accumulation in the volume and some buy signals with technical indicators.

BTW: I have no position in the stock at this time. I'm just an innocent bystander, a witless witness, a nitpicking nitwit.

Brooke

If CISCO's direction is unclear to you, you should look at this.

Brookelise, if you think CSCO is being depressed by a lousy market, and you are a long term investor, I suggest you buy CSCO today. It is clearly a consistent performer with a bright future. What else do you need to know--what else can you know?
