Addendum to John's question to McCaw fans: Not only what do you think of Teledesic but what are the chances Teledesic will use CDMA for either transmission to the satellites themselves (as Globalstar does) or for connections to terrestrial wireless CDMA using handsets (terminals) for 3rd gen CDMA of some flavor? Curious. Chaz PS As I understand Teledesic it is aimed at data not voice, and will be designed primarily to permit transmission of internet and private data channels via satellite for both businesses and individuals. Or some such. (Corrections and/or comments welcomed)
PPS Seems like I read somewhere that G* and Loral have an exclusive license on use of CDMA with satellites. If so much of this is moot but still curious.
