Tenchusatsu,

<Maybe Intel should have pulled this trick regarding the delay in the mobile Pentium III. "Release" the mobile Pentium III in September, but admit with a whisper that consumers won't be able to buy it until a month or two later.>

How is that different from what they did now? Talk about September launch and tell people that they are delaying it because customer want it to be delayed? Intel is not accustomed to being second and you can tell by the pathetic stories that they are coming up with nowadays. In case you haven't noticed, even the PIII-600 story is somewhat similar.

I am sure your wishes about vaporware releases from Intel will come true as AMD pulls farther and farther on the MHz grades.

Chuck

There is a bit of a greenish tinge to your posting. Why can't intc just admit that they screwed up?

Intel doesn't think they have delayed the mobile PIII...

"But OEMs voted to delay, err, push out the release date!"
