I don't mean to bring on the wrath of every employee and union boss but why will NSM have to pay anyone a cent more than the pay that they have earned? Did they promise these benefits at the time of hiring? Is it required by law?

If you buy a company and lose the better part of a billion bucks trying to make it profitable; if key employees leave in the middle of all that; and then you sell the company is desperation to someone a zillion miles away; ... is enough not enough?

The question is not meant as some rhetorical jabber. It is real. From your point of view, is there a reason why NSM is obliged to pay extra to "lay off" employees after selling CYRX?
