"Leveraged to the Gills, Net Traders Bite Their Nails", an article at thestreet.com yesterday says: "it's not just the investors playing this leverage game. Companies such as Amazon, Ameritrade, and Cnet are leveraging themselves with convertible debt deals."
Bill Fleckenstein (renowned bear) is quoted "Investors see companies leveraging themselves to the gills, so why shouldn't they?"

I'm not really familiar with this technique. Is it much different from the way Dell and Microsoft trade options on their own stock? I heard Dell for instance made more money last year from the option trades than from selling products.
