Re: free PC/internet service
I wonder if analyists have factored in the "churn rate" exposure factor. Example: I use Concentric network for inet
access: about 19.95 a month. I've been thinking of getting a new PC. Makes all the sense in the world to change
providers, and get a $2000 PC for about 400 bucks.

Judging from CNCX's stock over the last few weeks, perhaps they have.

Tradegod,

This is a topic I never really discussed but I see a real problem here. We apparently have people signing three year ISP agreements to get a "free PC." Three years is a lifetime in the internet world. Broadband is now starting to be deployed rapidly. I believe these three year agreements are for dial-up service. What happens when the ISP you ahve the agreement with, does not have broadband available but the competing one does? We are going to see some very unhappy consumers.
