The manual.. John the reason I asked about the watch lists, assuming they will be even using them (most likely they will although I thought it would be just the earnings plays since what started out as a primer for my subscribers on how to utilize our market gems watch list and newsletter is turning out to be a Anticipatory Upswing and/or Earnings Plays dual proprietary "process" and will be trademarked. It will belong to me but I would be promoting both the process and the software that they want for distribution for people that will not necessarily be be Market Gems members but would be started along with some guidance, samples scans (not the deep stuff) and results, of the technical analysis (simple) that could be used with to develop their own 'earnings' or day/swing trading strategies utilizing Telescan Prosearch, E-Search and now I'm even working on some Pro-search real-time scans on my own and testing them if they stand up to some testing I'll include them. That's not even the big project the second big one only. I know I mentioned this on the thread before that Telescan wanted me to do this before to add a disk and I thought the disk was for my proprietary scans and I balked and refused when in reality it was a demo disk of Telescan's Investor's Platform. This can turn out to be a 200 page plus or 150 at the very least.. and would in more likelyhood could take a few months. With you and with the earnings plays there is no problem going back up to 6 months, but with the watch lists I'm told I'll give them my 'personal' trades to their compustat compiler and all the really want is something like this: The results is profits like this trades like these: RECENT PICKS: HLIT up 14 in 2 days, XOMA up 2 in 2 days, or NDB up 20 in two days PHCM up xxx points called June 23 AUDC up xxx called June we CUST up xxx called June 14.. I guess that way we avoid who held the whole 20 or sold after 5. I've actually seen one that said our traders made $2,000 in one day on this trade ( I wondered how they new if he bought 10 shares or 2,000 shares) (I'm going to stick with my buy alerts unless they tell me otherwise although I'm sure its enough the stocks came from the prosearch scn)..Actually it was fun going through past figures they had researched from other companies I gave them lists with some ones that went down and weren't called, but I did give them lists of "BUY trigger" that I lost on they will definitely use them because that's how its done. (not stocks that weren't on the watch list or that I just called like PHCM because it would not be a legitimate prosearch result from a scan although I think there was once when it was on the watch list).. This is what the stock selection sites are doing as we checked through dozens of the better ones.. We found some that were still claiming 100% in 3 days and stuff like that. Anyhow I still want to do the manual for the subscribers as a primer since I already have done over 30 pages including charts under technical topics, instructions on how to use alerts, autoscans, autoruns and autoflags for tracking the portfolios etc. I chose a few of my favorite strategies and only touched on triangles and candlesticks as basic. Most of them are like about to breakout out of consolidations, moving average crossovers, resistance, channel breakout, the usual fare and organized a little better. Now I have archives of charts and its a shame for them to waste so I thought of putting the primer together as a longish .pdf file.. its really all you need, even with general information but I can't go into everything that will be in the book (which you don't need since they won't be getting the watch lists or eearnings plays so thats already nearly 1/3 book helping them to make their own by teaching about the criteria and what we look for...etc. I've seen it done by companies that have manual on the net. The advantage is that its free, comes out in living color, but its a long download.. By the time I'm done it could be as much as 40-50 pages.depending on the graphs I decide to include. The reason I think some of the charts are necessary because they have a lot of common points and indicators and I won't include some the more 'glamor' ones like parabolic sar, linear regression and that sort of stuff, you really could live without. Another plus is that it could easily be ready in just a week or two so that's the deal. Depending if I decide to do a little chapter on stop losses and gaps, I'm just not sure of the timeing as I did promise you a newsletter this week. If those of you wo want I could still print it out for your (web tv) and just charge a 5 bucks or so for mailing and putting into a looseleaf. Only if there is only 10 or less othewise I just cant do it, cause we have only 10 or 9 subscribers using WEBTV, I think the website is getting cluttered with too many new articles and this way every once in a while I could add an .pdf article and just do the same and you could add it..
