eBay is down now. Actually, it was down earlier last night than they said: I was trying it at 1:30am PDT this morning (aug 6), and could search, but could not pull up an auction.

This is a classic example of the value of being 1st with a killer app. eBay does 40 TIMES(!) more business on their auctions than YHOO or AMZN. Literally, millions of people will each individually have to give up on eBay before it dies. I spend more $ on eBay than any other e-commerce site, by far.

When I go to Yahoo or Amazon auctions they have virtually NONE of the items I have been buying (classic comic books mostly). While eBay has hundreds. They'll have to get a lot worst before I give up on them for this reason.

BTW, I am down to 50 share of eBay - a very small position. I think the market will continue to hammer it. I sparkling buy at 50!
