<Well I'm not sure IBM blundered by not embracing altivec. The problem wtih altivec is it has caused no end of design problems. Remember die size doesn't mean a damned thing if the product dosen't work correctly. I mean I could design a 1mm1 cpu.. it just wouldn't do much.. ;)> Well, Motorola does seem to be having a lot of problems with the Apple G4s. If it's the design (can you confirm this?), then I certainly agree with you. If it's process related, then I do not. We'll just have to wait and see. THE WATSONYOUTH
