Tenchusatsu,

<I don't get it. The only thing I can think of is the fact that the price of Intel's latest-n-greatest at its intro is lower than the price of previous top-of-the-line intros. >

That was not the problem. Typical Intel launch is done with tons of OEMs, systems already in the stores from most vendors, a lot of paraphrenelia and hype, lot of press and is generally the smoothest thing you have ever seen. You can see that that is not the case here. The availability is not that great, glowing press is missing, and there is a general sense of a rushed launch.

<Chuck, if you're not going to give me the benefit of the doubt regarding Athlon stability issues, why should I give you the benefit of the doubt regarding your "industry sources"?>

Fair. However, it would be good if you can substantiate what you believe is the problem because there aren't even any rumors about stability (not that I heard of anyway).

Chuck

P.S.: I was rereading the email that you responded to and I thought it may have sounded a little condescending. It was not intended that way. I apologize.
