If you use a 640-wide window, then you should consider checking the option "Stretch message to fit window". Rather than stretching, it will actually decrease the width of the message. I find that they're still slightly too wide even then, but it's better than the default width.

Unfortunately, the site's minimum width seems to be set to slightly more than what will fit into a 640 pixel window.

It sounds like you're having log-in problems with their new case-sensitive user/password routines. Once you get those ironed out, I've found the new site to be easier to stay in than the old one which would sometimes ask for my password at odd moments.

They just added the sorting routines for message threads this morning. It's not working, as you pointed out. There have been a couple of posts about that, so I assume they're working on it.

The "Next" button was moved to the right after at least one user requested it. (Who could that have been?) Here's the justification. One must move to the right to use the scrollbar. Having the "Next" button adjacent to the scroll bar requires far less mouse movement than was required in its original left-justified placement. Having it over on the right also helps those of us who use a scroll-wheel on the mouse since its classic-site placement caused the mouse pointer to flow through the text of the message. The pointer now flows through the (too small) right border beside the message.

I find that putting "SubjectMarks" on the far-right side of my toolbar allows me to do almost everything on the site without moving my mouse pointer from a small corner on the right side of the window. Unfortunately, one must move to the middle of the page to get to the new message links in SubjectMarks, but I'm willing to put up with that even though I'd love to see "New" and "Replies" become the last two columns in the list.
