Victor -- I have arrived at the same conclusion. I have said quite a bit about this and yet the response is still sometimes 'this is not Argentina'. The United States is a self-centered place often lacking understanding of global economy, or its own vulnerabilities. The idea that foreigners could impact our economy is apt to be treated as a wild-eyed dooms-day theory, instead of a simple fact of life. Talk of trade deficits, currency rates and foreign investment seem far removed from the question of how many books AMZN can sell, unless you own the stock and recognize that trade deficits etc. seem to be driving the financial markets. AMZN is precisely the type stocks being whipped around by these factors. I am always surprised when I get LOL responses, like I was saying something funny by emphasizing these factors instead of talking about sales growth or other factors internal to AMZN.
