Re: Real News

Global MAINTECH Corporation (OTC-BB:GLBM - news) announced two new products for monitoring Internet and networked environments for Microsoft Windows. Through its Magnum Technologies division, Global MAINTECH is releasing for distribution Magnum's Internet Service Event Monitor(ISEM) and Magnum's NT Event Monitor (NTEM).

The ISEM product significantly increases Global MAINTECH's Internet capabilities by monitoring and testing the key services of Internet and Intranets, including email and Internet web access, to ascertain that they are working and that they are remaining available. As Internet usage continues to grow, this monitoring can provided availability information and even prevent outages.

Lucent just announced the purchase of one of the established names in this market segment, International Network Services (INSS).

" Well, at least you didn't say which way it was going to run. ;-) I won't even dignify the "release" beyond calling it what it is: third-rate, deeper-than-Filene's-basement flackery." You are probably right about this but even if this is a fluff piece paid for by the company, you would have to think that it should contain some elements of truth in it, especially in terms of revenues and earnings. It is the first statement from anyone mentioning what revenues and earnings for the new merged company will be. If this part wasn't true, you would think that they would be opening themselves up to a shareholder lawsuit. Neal
