Sundram Fastners 1QFY2000 net rises 45%

Auto component major Sundram Fastners yesterday announced a 45% jump in net for 1QFY2000 at Rs 102 m on an increased turnover of Rs 1 bn.

Net sales income rose form 30% to Rs 1 bn from 800 m in 1QFY2000, total operating expenditure climbed by a similar margin to Rs 860 m from 663 m. Profits before depreciation was higher at Rs 147 m compared to Rs 104 m a year ago, net profits stood at Rs 102 m compared to Rs 70 m, leaving for a higher depreciation of Rs 27 m this time against Rs 24 m year ago.
