Broadband Access--For
Free?

@Home chief says that fees may eventually drop
to zero for basic broadband.

Will broadband Internet access be the next freebie?

Tom Jermoluk, who heads the @Home Internet cable
access company, foresees a day when his company's
Internet service, which sells for about $40 per month,
might be given away. "We could go to [a charge of]
nothing over time," says Jermoluk. Access fees "are
not our only source of income," he says.

Actually, ATHM hit 198 in April-May, but that was pre 2:1 split, so high was actually 98. 207.95.154.130 Yes, 3 point flip was quick money and quick stupid ggg. I still like the big internet companies: AOL, YHOO, ATHM, CMGI, like ELNK and MSPG at these prices, am very hesitant on EBAY and AMZN, like HSAC because of Paul Allen's connection to his Wired World and Charter Comm. wouldn't touch the crazies in the group.
I think there are tremendous values in the PFE at 33, WMT at 40-41, MSFT in 80s, IBM 110-120, the oils, etc. it is time to put on the long dress and stash the mini-skirt for a while. larrry
