AMD to wrest away speed crown from Intel news.com Rest assured that Intel will do whatever necessary to recover their crown. They value their brand dearly and can afford to suffer losses if that is what it takes to bring products to market faster. I am convinced that Intel's product cycle will be accelerated to gain the performance advantage over the Athlon. Hopefully part of the strategy will be to get Rambus into as many Intel based systems as possible (but not until we get a bargain opportunity next week please!). Of course, Intel buying AMD would make all that unnecessary.
