Bearcub,

You're fortunate I decide to make time for people like you, who apparently are only able to selectively understand the contents of someone else's post.

I have stated quite CLEARLY (at least enough for others) that the preferable way to manage water needs is NOT to store hundreds of gallons of water, but rather to have a two-three week supply of containers (assuming 2 gallons per day per person) and a SOUND water filtration system like the Katadyn Expedition.

katadyn.net

As for filter, 26,000 gallons a piece.

I really can't believe you wasted that entire post of yours trying to denegrate my VERY SOUND advice. Possessing the means of filtering and purifying the non-potable water that abounds around most people, is far preferable to being mistaken for terrorists and having your premises raided by the Federal Govt. (that story was verified today in the Washington Times, btw).

I have NEVER posted ANY suggestion that people should not have water filtration. Why would I?? My entire point as been to have the means of survival anywhere you may find yourself.

You haven't even purchased a water filter, have you?

I guess that tends to undercut your self-projected image as "Mr. Prepared", now doesn't it?
