Anybody else here surprised by CNBC's sins of omission?

AG caught my eye on Friday as it just went up and up with big blocks going through. So I have been researching it this weekend. What do I find?

(1)SSB put out positive comments on Friday. Did CNBC report on them?
No.

(2) There were major takeover rumors on Friday. Anything from CNBC?
zip.

So the third leading percentage gainer on the big board gets nary a peep out of CNBC. Volume was not bad either.

I know it is a summer Friday and it is unreasonable to expect them to report on every stock. But I am regularly disappointed with how much news which can and should be reported is not reported.

Tom,
Yes, SI is certainly an "investing forum", but the "Coffee Shop" area tends to be a bit more liberal in areas of discussion, at least that is the way I see it from my approximately 15 months around here.
And now, to critique CNBC. I wonder if they realize just how "goofy" they truly appear as the crew is all smiles and jokes and so on and so on, as the "people" are getting hurt big time in the internet stocks and the overall market. WAKE UP YOU CLOWNS! WHEN THE MARKET IS HURTING YOUR VIEWERS, TRY TO BE A LITTLE MORE SERIOUS!! (you know, like a REAL business channel) Yogizuna
