Corrective day surgery for a wandering eye. It was corrected non-surgically by the time she was 4, but as she has grown the muscles went the other way, and by the time she was 11 we knew that surgery was necessary. The doctor just trimmed the muscles a bit, et voila!, focus. Cool.

I have come to the opinion that a small but active portfolio is superior to a large and sluggish one, at least when the dog days are here. Besides, it's so much easier to take nice profits than to suffer through losses. I'll know when it's time to buy back in; just as soon as the Nasdaq 100 is down 25% (or am I dreaming?)
