"Don't forget that @home has a significant portion of Japan. Wonder how that's going?"

Eric- I also wonder how things are going in Japan. The Excite@Home web site sure doesn't keep investors informed. Heck, the Hamilton Elementary Wildcats in Moline, IL do a better job of updating their home page.

Anyway, if you recall TCI owns a nice stake (40%) in J-Com CATV (that's Jupiter Telecommunications). They are a subsidiary of Sumitomo. Sumitomo owns the remaining percentage of shares (60%). An earlier agreement between the three companies gave @Home Japan (or is it Japan@Home) an exclusive agreement that included 5.1 million Japanese homes. So my question is, "How many subscribers in Japan do we have?" J-Com is AT THIS TIME offering high speed Internet access. Is it @Home? I would think it would be. If so, how much of a factor was it in the 620k subscriber count at the end of the second quarter? How can a person get an answer to that question?

Anyone out there who is a good sleuth, solve this one for me. It may be a waste of time contacting Excite@Home investor relations. I doubt that they would respond.
