Regardless of what kind of a comeback that the Internet sector makes, this sector has not yet had the attention of Wall Street. Very soon it will. Its going to smack them in the face. Television is going to be reinvented. I almost hope the Wink's in the analog world, the WGAT's etc. meet with some initial success as well. Its only a matter of time before we are anointed the winner in a huge, huge market.

TCI Education Project Joins the AT&T Learning Network

WASHINGTON, May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T Broadband & Internet Services
(AT&T BIS -- formerly known as TCI) today announced the launch of the
TCI Education Project's national educator web site,

::snip::

For more information about the AT&T Learning Network, the company's
award-winning $150 million commitment to help improve teaching and learning through the effective use of technology, and the Virtual Academy, visit the company's Web site at www.att.com/learningnetwork or call 1-800-354-8800.

Anyone else check out this website? I did. No mention of IATV anywhere. AT&T's Learning Network Virtual Academy, providing distance learning resources for corporations (mostly prerecorded video) has a section for related links, and there must be 30 links there in 4 categories and IATV isn't even listed there.

I also checked out TCI's section for what they could deliver to K-12 classrooms and most of it is on how they can get cable and fast internet access to the classroom. Nothing on IATV.

As an aside, I saw a couple people here mention that TVGIA was shipping 10/15. I thought that they were shipping 9/15. When did they announce a delay, or was the 10/15 just a typo? I also saw Art say that IATV would release Fox Sports in "4th Quarter" this year. Has that been officially announced by the company or is the last official word third quarter? I saw the newsday article, but "this fall" doesn't differentiate between end of Sep (3Q) and Oct/Nov/Dec (4Q). I wouldn't get upset at a 4Q rollout if they were to announce a specific date. IE if they said "We'll kick off Fox Sports coverage with the Texas Texas A&M football game November 12th," even though that's 4Q not 3Q I wouldn't be upset. What would upset me is if they stay vague about when they're releasing and just push it ahead a quarter so that the release date is still always just past the horizon.
