Tommaso -

(...when I logged onto SI today I was shunted to the new format, where my name and password were not recognized. Have I been dumped from the freeby list for non-participation, or what? Has anyone else noticed this?...)

Make sure that your name and password have the right capitalization. (and spelling -g-) I think I saw a message about that. In any case, my old user name and password worked OK.

Regards, Don

To answer one of my own questions, after some experiments I found that if I put my username in lowercase and my password all in caps, I could log onto the new SI format.

It does seem to me that increasing numbers of voices are beginning to be heard preaching caution, warning of a correction, reminding us of various measures of market overvaluation, and so on. Any attempt by investors at large--whether foreign or dmoestic, individual or institutional--to remove 10% of the capital from the market would (I think) bring the market down abruptly by 40% or more. And that could be only the beginning. I wonder how all these "I'm in it for the long term" people would stomach watching their "savings" cut in half.
