The Net is the quintessence of the cheap alternative.
So very true. The more people look to reduce expenses the more popular using the net will be.

However its more complex than that for e-retail. At some point they will push even a little further. They will push for the *cheapest* on the net too, and start factoring in that driving to the store might be cheaper than the UPS bill to have it shipped. Along with that more and more retailers will be operating over the net.

e-retail could be squeezed on all dimensions.

I guess what I'm saying is that e-retail is still just retail. A tough competative environment that struggles in recession. Someday the stock market wont make any fuss over how the retail is done. Do people think of DELL as a net stock?
